Sherman M4 75mm gun vs Tiger I 100mm front armor. At 500 meters, 75mm could not penetrate 100mm at 0deg angle.

Tactical Solutions

• Combined Arms Doctrine - Infantry with bazookas was primary Sherman answer
• Flanking Fire - Sherman mobility allowed positioning for side shots
• Artillery Support - WP shells could disable Tiger engine compartments
